HISTORY OF LETTERPRESS
Letterpress printing was invented back in the mid-15th century by Johannes Gutenburg, and up till the 19th century it was the norm as far as printing goes. Then technology reared its fancy head, and letterpress became a thing of the past. Printmakers have long adored the direct impression of inked plates to paper, and the process has turned into an art.And that’s where Alee & Press comes in!

STEP 1: QUOTE
Submit a request for a personal quote. Use our online form and fill in as much info as you can. We will email you back with a quote for your project.

STEP 2: Contract + 50% Deposit
Once you decide that you want to work with Alee, we will email you with a contract and project timeline. A 50% non-refundable deposit of the estimate price is due before we start the design process.

Full Custom Design?
If we are starting from scratch we will discuss your project in depth and then begin pulling inspiration for a visual review. This will be a digital inspiration board of type, colors, and images that will confirm our design direction. Custom clients will receive a fully customized & unique review. Once your visual review is approved we will then translate this inspiration into a number of different directions for your wedding stationery. You’ll have the chance to choose your favorites before we move into the next phase.

Collection Design?
If you see a starting point within an existing collection design or past custom designs let us know what elements you would like to change if any. We can change our colors, type choices & add in personal text and other elements. These designs are all fully customizable.

STEP 3: DESIGN PROOF + decide on wording
We will send you design concepts based on our initial discussion. We will work together to make any necessary copy & design changes until we have your full approval on the the final design & proof. We will then move your project into production and send a final invoice. *review meetings take place over the phone, skype, in person or through email.

STEP 4: PRINTING + shipping
We will get to printing and your project will be finished within the timeline we agree upon in your contract. Your finished pieces will be hand inspected and carefully boxed up and shipped to you. The final invoice is due prior to shipping.
